Mirage by pomd’or is the new design tool for bathrooms. A creation invented by talented designer Eugeni Quitllet (Ibiza, 1972) for pomd’or, who presents a collection conceived for the ultimate interior design of bathrooms. The collection includes a considerable number of items: unit, mirrors, sink, bathroom and accessories in such as way that they form a hexagon and project reflections combining light and shadow. A magical effect immersed in a sophisticated ambiance to bring the bathroom ritual to an emotional level.

pomd’or amazes with their collection that goes beyond mere functionality. The firm has developed a design that re-conceptualizes interior design and decoration disciplines through genius creator Eugeni Quitllet, recently declared designer of the year by Maison & Object. “We wanted a designer that would bring something new, and Eugeni’s style has provided us with this differential edge. He instantly connected with our brand and proposed a collection with a strong personality, involving reinventing classic luxury adding an approach of sheer modernity,” explains Pascal Llopis, Marketing and Sales Director.

The Mirage universe was designed through a creative process originating in Quitllet’s most intimate thoughts, which have gradually come to the surface, connecting with the Ibizan designer’s chain of emotions. The resulting elements combine finishes in gold, rose gold, and chrome with other materials such as Carrara or Marquina marble. Mirage even touches on another material, one that the designer especially enjoys using to create impact; Acrylic Glass. This component is discretely introduced to give a more contemporary touch. By doing this, Mirage achieves iconic pieces such as a hexagonal hanger which features a small ruby red or transparent heart in the middle. The shape and the material make light reflections project outwards from the angles of the inner piece. “This geometry brings visual value, achieving refined items. We have created a design that refers back to glasswork, and is highly sophisticated without risking being baroque,” Eugeni Quitllet assures us.

With this new approach, the firm daringly includes pieces never before seen in their assortment such as a beautiful jewel box combining stackable compartments, or a mikado glass. They also include candleholders with “Woodland chill” fragrance aromatic candles created by perfume professionals with research centres in Switzerland and Miami, conceived through Quitllet’s imagination: an essence based on wood and skin alquimia, with spices blends using cardamom and floral aromas such as Cistus flower (rockrose).

The basin with lateral shelf and towel bar as well as the bath feature metallic structural contoured edges to match the rest of the collection, which despite being formed of robust pieces, still manages to play with the idea of the weightlessness of movement, to give the impression they are floating. This is the case of accessories such as the soap dispenser, tumbler and toilet brush, all with edging. Other strikingly original elements include the shelving featuring an irregular surface created by a series of metallic waves. The indentations can serve as supports for three optional accessories: a vertical, a hexagonal, and a circular mirror, all three of which can be moved to create different formations. Equally impressive are the towel bar, with hexagonal shape featuring chrome, gold, or rose gold finishes that contrast with a lighter bar and the standing towel bar with hexagonal base.

Finally, there is an eye-catching auxiliary unit, which serves as an independent unit to store small bathroom treasures, beside a hexagonal stool that projects sparkles of light through its different angles, as well as waste bin that could alternatively be used as an ice bucket.
